Denim 101

One day in the washhouse, 10am to 4:45pm, lunch provided. The way in to how denim is actually made and finished.

The morning is a tutorial and tour: denim fabric, wet and dry process, laser design, novelty applications, garment dye and non-denim washing, making wash comments, working with denim manufacturers, sustainability and trend. The afternoon is hands on — stone washing, overdyeing, enzyme washing, pigment spraying, hand sanding, grinding, drilling, tacking, lasering and foiling, on garments you bring.

The first of three classes toward BPD Certification.
